Lyme Property Tax records are now recorded in Avitar Associates’s database (replacing the earlier Vision database). Here’s a quick intro to the new website:
- Go to the Avitar Associates website https://data.avitarassociates.com/logon.aspx
- Click GUEST, then type the letters into the Challenge Phrase box. (You don’t need to log in.)
- Click Lyme in the list of towns
- You will see an empty screen. Don’t be daunted…
- At the upper-left, click Searches and choose By address…
- Click the small square to the left of a road name.
- You will see a list of house numbers. Click the small square to the left of a house number.
- Finally, you will see the “Tax Card” information. The General tab shows:
- Parcel ID (Map/Lot/Unit)
- Owners and location
- Acres
- Valuation for the building, features, land, and total “Parcel Value”
- Notes giving a very dense description of the features of the property in “assessor-speak”. Copy/paste that text into the box below and click Explain to get a human-readable interpretation.
Explanations are AI-generated and may contain mistakes. Confirm anything important with the town assessing office.
Notes
- Only the General tab contains information. Avitar requires a license to see the data in other tabs: The Town of Lyme has chosen not to purchase a license for town-wide access.
- This page is a prototype. Expect errors.
